Pinniger Finch & Co Solicitors

About Us:

Pinniger Finch & Co was established in 1819. We aim to provide friendly and practical advice at a reasonable price. The firm currently has the following fee earners:

BILL WHITE - LLB (hons)

Bill is a partner and owner of the firm. He specialises in Family Law and offers sensitive and caring support to clients with family difficulties and can advise on all aspects of your situation irrespective of whether you are married, living with your partner or contemplating separation or divorce.  He will work with you to protect your children’s interests.  This may involve deciding how to maintain contact with both parents and arranging for the children’s financial stability.

Outside of the office, Bill can be seen playing cricket and walking his dog.

PHILIPPA MASTERS - LLB (hons)

Pippa qualified as a solicitor in 1999. She joined Pinniger Finch in 2009 and quickly progressed to being a partner in March 2011. She works in the Wills and Probate section. Pippa is known for her approachable and caring attitude towards clients.

Outside of work, she manages her children and husband. She also enjoys hunting wild boar on camel back in the Atacama desert and trekking through the wadi of Dihazhaz ! At other times, she is found variously playing the piano, cooking, reading, drinking red wine, up to her knees in cow muck and looking after the menagerie but not necessarily all at the same time.

ANTHEA PRINCE

Anthea is an executive with many years experience in Wills and Probate.

Anthea spent the early part of her working life in Salisbury and then worked for a firm in Trowbridge before joining Pinniger Finch in 1997. She has always enjoyed meeting people of all ages, but feels the older generation have unique problems. Anthea believes that if you act for elderly clients, you must be willing to visit them in their own homes and give the the time they need to be reassured. She is able to do this at Pinniger Finch, where time is not of the essence and the client comes first.

In her spare time, Anthea is a keen gardener, grandmother and classic car enthusiast. Her yellow Triumph Herald was her only car until two years ago; she still finds that when she drives it on warm, dry days, her clients greet her with a smile. A reminder of days when life was a little slower and drivers were a little more courteous!

SANDRA CARLETON - LLB (hons), F.Inst.L.Ex.

Sandra has worked in conveyancing for 14 years, 8 of which as a qualified Fellow of ILEX. She deals in all areas of both domestic and commercial conveyancing from the most straight forward transactions to the most complex.  Sandra has a good knowledge of land law which has been of particular use in a recent transaction involving ownership of a piece of land which could not be proved by way of a title deed; she successfully argued the point that the land should be registered and the Assistant Land Registrar at HM Land Registry granted Absolute Title to the client's delight.

ANTHONY REEVES - BA (hons), F.Inst.L.Ex.

Anthony is an experienced Fellow of ILEX who joined Pinniger Finch in April 2008. He specialises in debt collection and civil litigation, ranging from  small contractual disputes to the large commercial claims involving a quarter of a million pounds and several claimants. He also handles employment law and residential tenancy issues. He has had particular success recently in suing major high street banks for harassment.  He is the author of several law books for the lay person, including:
  • "See You In Court!"
  • The Litigation Handbook
  • The Employment Law Handbook
  • "Give Me Your Money! A guide to debt collection."
His latest book, published by Emerald Publishing in May 2011, is called "The Debt Collecting Merry-Go-Round. How to deal with harassment and unfair practice by debt collectors." Anthony is also the editor of a study manual for the ILEX Tutorial College in the area of Debt Recovery and Insolvency.

Anthony enjoys playing cricket, drinking red wine and taking holidays in Lanzarote!
